Leaving Bangkok

I am leaving Bangkok today and heading for Aranyapratet on the eastern side of Thailand and then join a group of senior cyclists riding to Nong Khai. I am looking forward as I have been inactive for about a week already. Nothing is certain on a journey like this and sometimes things just fall in place.

After Nong Khai I head to Vientianne and then north to Luang Prabang and if all goes well enter China at Boten and head for Kunming. But then again nothing is certain.

I miss home and all my friends in PJ . You know how to get in touch with me, so let's hear from you too. Cheers and take care.

You must be relieved to be on the road again. Glad to see that you have some company on the way to Nong Khai.

Hi Pak Nan!

Glad to see you looking as fit as ever! Hope you'll maintain the same till your mission accomplished. Must have been quite boring in BKK what with the bad naam tooam! By now the word must be very familiar with you hahaha. BTW nice pic there with a pooying sooay! Good luck for your onward journey. Hoping the floods won't hamper your progress too much insyaAllah. Take care!

Hi Adnan,

Nice shot. Good to see that you’re still your usual self; girls flock to you wherever you go :D
I hope you have cycled through the flood prone area by now. Have a wonderful and blissful ride and cherish the journey.

Cikgu, initially i'd thought of updating you on the news but it's all so bloody depressing that i've changed my mind...except for manchester united's win against galati (romanian club) of course.

and this one from The Register (UK slightly wacky IT news site): Blogger freaks after airport lackey fondles checked-in vibrator. TSA forced to perform 'removal action' on employee. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/11/01/tsa_privacy/

been boning up on my bahasa melayu also lah...just found out recently that all the 'nahu' which we learned in school is virtually unusable in the 21st century. so i've broken open dewan bahasa's latest 'tatabahasa' book and lo and behold what did i find?...do you remember the time that we called a bicycle 'kereta lereng'?? i don't. i've no bloody idea how this linguistic gem might be of use to you, but there you go hahaha. there's many more but i'll save them for when we meet up at secret recipe for coffee and cheese cakes :)

cheers, cikgu. keep well.
